Architectural and Ornamental Ironworkers Local #63 has represented those performing architectural and ornamental iron work in the Chicagoland area since 1903. We currently represent over 1,000 highly skilled union-trained Ironworkers, and are affiliated with the International Association of Bridge, Structural, Ornamental, and Reinforcing Iron Workers. Our members tackle projects that are but not limited to erecting unitized curtain wall systems, steel stairs and guardrails, ornamental and temporary fence, monuments and statues, as well as miscellaneous metals and glass hand rails.
Our Union workforce is talented and motivated. Their livelihood hinges on the quality of work that they produce, which results in a high level of dedication to quality on your project. Research has proven that union construction is of higher quality than non-union.
Local #63 has a proud tradition of offering its members the best training available using cutting edge technology, top of the line facilities, and experienced instructors to create a workforce that is second to none. Our members are expert craftsmen at such skills as rigging, crane signaling, caulking, and welding various procedures such as shielded metal arc welding, gas tungsten arc welding, and flux-cored arc welding with American Welding Society certifications.
We are an important resource for contractors and owners who look for a professional, knowledgeable, and highly skilled pool of workers to complete any size project. Local #63 promotes good labor relations, and our goal is to make sure that, with the help of our members, your project is done correctly the first time, on time, and on budget.
